Final Fantasy III (NDS)

The third entry in the Final Fantasy series stands out by expanding on the job system from the original game. Instead of each of your characters representing a predetermined class, all characters start as Freelancers and can build up to other classes by leveling up prerequisites. This was hugely influential to many future games in the series, but Final Fantasy V and Tactics are particularly noteworthy. Of course, the job system in this game is much less interesting than what would follow and again falls back on preposterous amounts of grinding, but it’s still an interesting chapter for Final Fantasy.
