When I first heard about this game, I mostly wanted to play it just to spend some time with characters I liked and to hear some of Shoji Meguro’s excellent soundtrack again. What I didn’t expect out of the game was an almost entirely fleshed out sequel to the original game. As usual, Omega Force does an excellent job of nailing the feel of the series they’re adapting. The story beats and characters feel perfectly genuine. Although the game has a combat system that eventually becomes repetitive, persistent players will be rewarded with a pleasing road trip with old friends.
