Being a non-canonical title of the Persona 5 universe, Dancing in Starlight does an alright job in not dumping overwrought narrative on you. But, I also wouldn’t really call it… memorable. Dancing All Night may have frustrated me with endless chatter, but at least it had a heart. Dancing in Starlight feels a bit soulless, and its tracklist doesn’t really stand up to a more pure rhythm title. You just kind of wonder why it exists, then you recognize DIS for what it is–a cash grab looking to capitalize on the popularity of Persona and Dancing All Night. A shame.
