Final Fantasy Tactics is a fiendishly addictive game on which I’ve personally spent hundreds of hours. It established a baseline of what I desire out of strategy RPGs. It smartly borrows elements from Final Fantasy V and applies them in the best implementation of a job system in the series. Seasoned players will find many enjoyable ways to break the game while first runs may stall out completely at Golgorand Execution Site or the infamous brick wall of Wiegraf. Although its translation leaves something to be desired, it tells one of the most coherent and memorable stories in the series.
