It’s not the most acclaimed Resident Evil title but probably one of the more fun. Resident Evil 5 is a highlight for some and a disappointment for others. It expands on the third-person action-focused Resident Evil 4 but at the expense of its horror roots. There are some great action sequences and intense (yet frustrating) boss fights but the “horror” is only in the fact that the enemies are mutated monstrosities.
Resident Evil 5 is, therefore, an enigma. It may not be a great Resident Evil game but it’s definitely a great co-op game and that’s good enough for me.
