Bowser’s Fury

The general rule with 3D Mario games is that the best one is simply the most recent one, and Bowser’s Fury is no exception. This is Mario’s “Breath of the Wild.” The movement and the jumping are tuned to a diamond precision and Bowser Jr. and Plessie are far and away from the best sidekicks of the series. An open-world game that feels tight and complete and only lasts four hours is a game design miracle. Nintendo must be the slowest and most cautious large scale games company ever, nevertheless, we finally have an open-world Mario platformer, and it’s fabulous.
