Dark Void

Dark Void follows the Uncharted tradition of emulating pulpy adventure novels with a protagonist voiced by Nolan North, only it does it way worse. It’s undeniably ambitious but falls short in multiple ways. The shooting is bog-standard, it has a glitch that forces you to restart levels, and the plot is forgettable. I will give it credit for its one cool idea though: the jetpack. Being able to use it at any time means levels have to account for it, meaning more verticality and mobility than an average third-person shooter. So much potential wasted in an ultimately mediocre final product.
