Despite having some interesting ideas and the best gameplay out of the previous two games, Uncharted 3’s aspirations got the best of it. While the game starts off strong, focusing on Nathan Drake’s origins and his relationship with his partner Sully, it completely falls apart in the second half due to plot holes and other inconsistencies with the story. The gameplay is the most refined out of the three, and I was happy that proper hand-to-hand combat mechanics were finally introduced, but it’s hard to enjoy beating up baddies when the story just doesn’t compare to the first two entries.
